When faced with financial and legal troubles, his character contemplates suicide. He is then visited by his guardian angel who shows him what life would be like if he had never been born. In the end the christmas spirit is found in the hearts of the entire town and they band together to help free him of his burdens. The helpful guardian angel graduates to a full fledged angel when a bell on the christmas tree rings and Stewart’s daughter says “Teacher says, anytime a bell rings an angel gets their wings”. Directed by Tim Burton this holiday scare puts Santa Claus, Jack Skellington and even the poor easter bunny in the same plotline. On Christmas Eve, Jack leaves on his makeshift sleigh flanked by skeletal reindeers and his ghost dog named Zero. Jack's scary and sometimes dangerous presents put the people in the real world in a panic and they begin to call the police with reports of attacking Christmas toys and an imposter Santa Claus. Jack is targeted by the military and shot down and at the same time, Sally goes to try and rescue Santa Claus. Oogie Boogie captures Sally but in the end Jack realizes he should stick to what he does best, Halloween, and all is well.
