There are designated bike lanes and paths throughout the city and the dry river beds are perfect for cycling or walking. Saguaro National Monument East has some great spots for some serious mountain biking.

Tucson also hosts the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show each February so be sure to take it in if you are in the neighborhood. You’ll find more than 3500 dealers and it’s the worlds largest gem, mineral, and fossil show.

If you are looking to experience a little bit of local wildlife be sure to visit the Tucson Botanical Gardens, The Reid Park Zoo, or the Arizona Sonora Dessert Museum.
