Vacation Reno

Popularly known as “America’s Adventure place” Reno is perhaps one of the most popular tourist destinations in the US. Know for its adventure activities like kayaking, canoeing and fishing Reno has made a name for itself when it comes to outdoor vacations and camping trips. One of the most popular tourist destinations close to Reno is Lake Tahoe. Divided into the Northern shore and Southern shore Lake Tahoe offers Casinos, golf courses and adventure activities the year round. Apart from its adventure activities Reno has also become a popular wedding destination.
Over the years Reno and Lake Tahoe have become popular destinations for weddings and brides and grooms from all over the US have decided to host their weddings in the beautifully serene and picturesque surroundings of Reno. With nearly 18 world class ski resorts, and many camping sites Lake Tahoe alone has made a name for itself when it comes to hosting weddings. The biggest advantage of planning a wedding in Reno is that there is quite literally no such thing as an off season in Reno. People from all over America come to Reno to enjoy the weather and have some fun.
Home to world class hotels, golf courses and resorts Reno has made itself a tourist hotspot over the years. Families and couples alike enjoy the world class facilities that Reno has to offer. From ski resorts to comfortable lodges, there is no shortage of quality accommodation in Reno and people from all over the world can easily reach Reno thanks to its international airport. Located just 35 miles away from Reno is Lake Tahoe. Just like Reno, Lake Tahoe too has made a name for itself when it comes to adventure activities and Casinos.
Lake Tahoe is unique in that its Southern shore is more popular with people that enjoy Casinos with a little bit of adventure activities thrown in for good measure. However people that are planning a vacation in Reno and Carson City usually prefer the Northern shore of Lake Tahoe. The capital of Nevada, Carson City is know for its rich history and is a must visit place for people that want to taste a bit of the Wild West of lore. Carson City offers 24 hour Casinos, museums and the now world famous Kit Carson Trial. No visit to Reno or Lake Tahoe is complete without a visit to Carson City.
If you are planning a vacation to Nevada, don’t just restrict your self to Las Vegas. Places like Reno, Lake Tahoe and Carson City have so much more to offer in terms of diversity, adventure sports and history that it would be a shame if you restrict your visit to Nevada to just Las Vegas. Even if your principal goal is to enjoy the world class Casinos of Nevada, Reno and Lake Tahoe offer some quality casinos, at the same time they also add to the value of your vacation making it truly memorable.
Sparks
Known for its annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off Sparks is truly a sister city to Reno. In fact there is a common joke among people that “Reno is so close to hell you can see sparks”. Sparks has fast become a tourist destination of its own, and unlike other Nevada based towns Sparks is know for its fine dining and championship golf courses. If you are planning a vacation to Reno then make sure that you plan it around about the time the annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off is held. Also if you are a keen golfer and enjoy your golf courses than a visit to Sparks’s championship golf courses is a must and no trip can be truly complete without tasting some of the fine local cuisine that Sparks offers.
