Premiere Parties for Movies on Their Opening Night

In Hollywood and New York City it is highly likely that a popular movie will have a premiere party. This party often takes place on the night the movie is released or a few days before; however, it is possible for a movie premiere party to occur at just about any time.

Opening night premiere parties are big deal for the director and the stars of the movie. In addition to the director and stars of the movie, many fans come from all around the country to witness a movie premiere. The term witness was used because many fans can only watch the movie premiere party from the outside.

It is possible for some individuals to win premiere party tickets from a contest or another source; however, opening night movie premiere parties are typically only open to movie critics, reporters, and individuals associated with the movie being premiered. Since the majority of fans are not let inside the building where a premiere party is being held they are often required to watch for stars once they enter the party via the red carpet.

The walking of the red carpet is something that many movie stars and directors do for extra publicity and to please the fans that have arrived to witness the event. It is not uncommon for an opening night movie premiere party to draw in thousands of fans. The more popular the movie is the more likely it is that more fans will be present. For this reasons many fans are required to arrive hours or even days in advance.

A large number of fans who flock to a large city to witness an opening night movie premiere are likely to be disappointed. This disappointment occurs because many fans are expecting to actually meet a celebrity. The reality is that many fans only get to see their favorite movies stars walk the red carpet.

A select number of fans may be able to shake hands or get an autograph from their favorite actor or actress; however, that is even a rare event. With the small amount of space that a red carpet takes up there are only a limited amount of fans who end up in the first two rows. Those are the rows that most commonly get to shake the hands of a movie star or get their autograph.

Although fans are generally not allowed into the opening night premiere party there are many premieres that offer activities or other events for the fans that have traveled the distance. There many be some instances where at a second location the movie being premiered may be seen. It is likely that there will not be any movie stars at the movie showing; however, many of the fans end up being the first group of people to watch the movie.

Witnessing the arrival of famous movie stars at an opening night movie premiere party is an exciting and fun experience. Even though many individuals only get a small glimpse of their favorite stars it is still something that many individuals only get to dream about.
