Quackwatch Update, lol... A Covert Conspiracy

When my good friend, Barb Day, told me that she had ordered a good book for me, I knew that it must be great. Before it arrived from Amazon, I had googled information its “The Cure For All Diseases,” author Dr. Hulga Clark. Almost immediately, I found myself on a website, Quackwatch, which made it seem that this Dr. was a “Quack.”

When, tonight in writing this article, I attempted to find the inflammatory feature…Behold, it had vanished. Perhaps, that had something to do with the fact that the accusations made there were unsupported? So instead, I followed up some other links to complete this brief write-up.

I discovered that the Quackwatch home page has had 6,959,885 visitors since 1/4/97. From there, I found links to other sister sites which are also involved in this covert conspiracy. These include: National Council Against Health Fraud; Acupuncture Watch; Autism Watch; Bioethics Watch; Cancer Treatment Watch; Casewatch; Chelation Watch; Chirobase; Credential Watch; Dental Watch; Diet Scam Watch; Homeowatch; Internet Health Pilot; Infomercial Watch; Mental Health Watch; MLM Watch; Naturowatch; Nutriwatch; and Pharmwatch. I’ve included these here for you, in case you have a need for some bad healthcare advice.

In an opinion article written a few years ago by Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen, "THE LAST DAYS OF THE QUACKBUSTERS” the foundation of Quackbusters was exposed:

“The "Quackbuster Conspiracy" was started shortly after the American Medical Association (AMA) lost the court battle to the Chiropractors in a case begun in Federal court in 1976. The Federal judge ordered the AMA's covert operation shut down - and leave the Chiropractors alone. The AMA files, library, etc., ended up in Stephen Barrett's 1,800 square foot basement in Allentown, PA. Barrett, and his minions, had the common sense to stay away from criticizing Chiropractors for quite some time. Barrett has since abandoned that common sense.”

As I am now recovering quickly from effects of MS (Multiple Sclerosis), in part due to Dr. Hulga Clarks good advice, I felt it time to offer a little update for those valiant ezine publishers, and website owners, who are unafraid to give their subscribers and visitors the truth.
